460 GTX SLI vs 560 GTX ti

Hey,

I ran into some problems with my 560 GTX ti with a lot of crashing and locking up no matter what I did to try and fix this, now I called to have it replaced as I am on a warranty, Alienware has all the 500 series cards on back order right now and they are offering me 2 460 GTX cards to SLI as a replacement, my question is how much is the performance difference between these cards? I run an i7 - 2600 and 16 gigs of ram.

2- 460GTX would be as fast or faster than GTX570 or HD6970 at 1080p.

2 GTX 460's are almost as fast as a GTX 580. I would say, take them and be happy. 😀

What resolution do you run? Thats a big question becuase if you aren't going to gain anything from the 460 SLi's higher framerates there's no point. I assume you have plenty of space on your motherboard for a second dual slot card? How about your power supply? Is it powerfull enough to hand 2 460s?

Something to think about.... The 460 in Sli posts roughly the same numbers that a single 480 posts which is equivalent to a 570 now. So look through the reviews below...

Here is another option you could sell both of your 460's on ebay and use that money to buy a new 570. So for a little work go from a 560 to 570 not too shabby
