I'm currently building a new PC.

The motherboard I am planning to buy is an Asus Maximus VII Ranger. I have a CX600 PSU from my old setup.

The problem is my budget is fairly limited, so I can either go for a 4790k + Noctua NH-U14s, or a 4690K + Noctua NH-U14s and a new Antec TP 750w gold PSU.

Should I keep my CX600 and go for the i7 or invest in a better PSU and stick with the i5?

Other components from my old system: Sapphire R9 290, 2 SSDs and a HDD

Thanks

Ok, seems like the smarter choice then. Will 750w be enough if at some point I decide to add another R9 290 in CF? And will they be limited by the i5?

.net development and gaming mainly. Ok then, I might move towards a more powerful single gpu in the future. Thanks!
