Hi! I've been reading on this forum for many years now and finally, after a lot of searching, decided to ask a question myself. Here is the thing. I want to go 1440p now, and play certain games @ 1080 with maximum fps such as CSGO and pubg.

I am running my 4770k @ 4.5 with 1.365 volts. And I got a 1070 gaming x slightly OC.

I know I got a pretty high voltage on that cpu and that it will die sometime :p although im only getting a 69 degree max when stress testing with iada64.

My question is, shall I just run my cpu till it fries and buy a 1080ti. Or should I go ahead and get a 8700k and wait with GPU?

I can't afford both atm and my 1070 feels to new to replace already.

Thanks!

Ok thanks for your reply. Guess I'll have to go with that 8700k first then :D but since im already making myself ready to buy a new cpu once they get in stock I'm cranking it upp till 1.4 and see how far it takes me :D
