I have a 970 atm and i play a few games like WoW, Hearthstone, and Far Cry 5, but i mostly use it for work(Graphic Designer). My kids play several other games and they have complained of low frame rates on my new monitor (lg 34UC98-W Ultrawide), and i can tell the 970 struggles sometimes(or maybe some other hardware?). My bother in law will sell me his Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 (he just upgraded to a 2080 TI) for 250$. I wanted to know if my setup will bottleneck the Vega 64.

Specs:
Windows 10 pro
4770k (OC 4.4 with H100i v2)
Gryphon z87
32gb 2133Mhz
1 TB 850 pro

Hmmm. Yeah, the 970 at 1440p res, will hurt a bit. It's possibly running out of vram in certain games, which can cause that issue.

I wouldn't say the 4770k will be much of a bottleneck. It's still a very relevant CPU. 4c/8t at 4.4 is decent. It should drive the GPU (Vega) fine. The very odd and demanding game (BF V) might push it. But still, it would be pretty balanced match IMO.
