Hi I am after some advice on a cpu cooler for my 4770k.
I currently have a hyper 412slim cooler and was looking at going to liquid cooling what iam wondering would I get much temperature difference from a swiftech h240x or a h80i ?
Or any recommendations on a better cooler would be appreciated
Thankyou

Solution
The swiftech H240x is really high quality and probably the best 240mm radiator AIO you can get, it does cool quite a lot better than the H80i, the H80i being a 120mm Radiator only, this is to be expected.

Thankyou for the reply.
From what I have read the h240x is really good if I decide to go that way I will have to get a new case as mine can only fit 120mm rads that is why I was asking if there is a large difference between the 2 as it is nearly double the price .
my only other option in the price range of the swiftech is to go custom kit which I don't know if I want to do atm

Thanks for the recommendation but not interested in air coolers the one I have is fairly large as it is .
My mate has a d14 and its ugly as hell and I oc his system and to be honest it doesn't live up to the hype even with the fans flat out

Ok so the coolers I have narrowed it down to are
h240x $280
Fractal S36 $220
Kraken x61 $180
H110 $180
Ekwb l240 $299
What do you guys think out of those in order of preference ?
Thanks

I'd get the 360mm Fractal s36, I have the 240mm s24 and it works great, no regrets what so ever.
I don't think any of the others compare, it's 360mm all copper radiator that can be have its loop expanded.
The 240X is a all copper expandable too but costs more and is only 240mm.
As cool as the Ekwb l240 looks, it seems awkward with that mini reservoir.

I'll look into the s36 a bit more the h240x is 280mm rad.
I put the l240 in as it was close in price to the h240x .
Thanks for the reply what temps u getting and what volts ect with the s24
This will be going into a enthoo luxe so plenty of room

I though I had posted some screen shots of the stress tests to toms but I can't seem to find them, I'll run them again tonight and let you know, if I remember correctly I was getting 47-48 at 100% load at stock with my i7 5820K, on my s24.

Ok so down to h240x s36 x61 and thermaltake 3.
The thermal beats the s36 and x61 from what I see in temps and noise but not the h240x .
Is there any issues with dissimilar metals being used ? Does this cause premature failures or is it just due to the inability to top up a lot of liquid cooler kits.
I want something that is reliable not to loud I don't bench just game.
Thanks

Sadly reviews all seem to get different numbers.
Tweaktowns numbers aren't great but the ones from:
http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/fractal_design_kelvin_s36_review/7
Are much better for the s36, and though they don't measure the sounds they state in the conclusion it is one of if not the quietest AIO they have tested.
