This afternoon i went messing around with XTU but as it was too limited, i tried Asus' AI Suite 3 to tweak my CPU to try and get some more performance. It has somehow made my 4790k Current/EDP Throttle way too often... i can't tell if this is normal or Ai Suite actually messed up some voltage setting somewhere.
I've went to the BIOS and set the VCCIN and Core Voltage back to stock values (with some research) but it still hits the Current Throttle.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's normal.
By default, the cpu current limit, power limit, and power limit duration revolve around the cpu's 88w TDP. So if you are trying to OC or run Multi-core Enhancement without raising those limiters, then yes, it'll power throttle frequently.
