4790k OC gets WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (Blue screen)

So I'm trying work out the max stable Ghz and Vs for a 'performance' setting to but used only when 4k gaming on tv (2-3 hours average a week) and trying to find the maximum Vcore that could be advised for only light usage and I want the card to last 1.5-2 years (had it a year but no OCing).

Anyway when trying to lower the vcore past 1.285 at 4.7Ghz I get a bluescreen and the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, is this a usual error to show I'm overdoing things? Googling thrown me mostly at issues where people said they are not OCing..

FYI my rig:

Windows 10(home)

Maximus VII HERO MB (updated bios but had to put vCore up not down by .005v afterwards)

i7 4790k (20 mins AIDA64 stable at 4.7Ghz Vcore 1.285)

H100i watercooler (CPU temps: max load ~73C, Idle ~30C, gaming never seen above 55C)

EVGA supernova 850 G2 850w gold PSU

G1 GTX 980 Ti (OC'd at 1.5 ghz only when gaming)

stress tests all cause the blue screen when I lower vCore at 4.7 or try to OC 4.8 even when I put it up to 1.315v, what might it take to get to 4.8 or is there some software limitation thats causing the blue screen as the temps are fine..? also if this is my max below 1.3v can I go above this voltage if its only for use a few hours per week and still expect the card to last atleast 18 months?

Seems like your OC isnt stable and thats why you get blue screens
Try to find a voltage where you dont get blue screens while stress testing for a longer period
I personally wouldn´t go above those 1.3 v because it only gets you 100 mhz and isnt really worth the extra voltage

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR will happen when you're not giving the CPU enough voltage. Increase the voltage until you can run stress tests without any crashing. It's totally normal for chips to crash like this when they don't have enough voltage.

Also, I wouldn't recommend going over 1.3v. The truth is, nobody really knows how long your CPU will last at over 1.3v; it may be several months or several years. Going from 4.7 to 4.8 really isn't worth that extra risk in my opinion. Put the Vcore at 1.290 at 4.7 and test it to make sure it's 100% stable. If you crash, just increase the Vcore by .010 and test again.
