So, is anybody starting to sweat a little?

Well, the comment was meant to be lighthearted but I see that I have offended many people. So let me continue. To all those who thumbed me down, I beseech you to please all get together and write down your divine moral code so that we may all bask in the absolute purity that is you. You buy all of your software, well fantastic for you. Would you like a medal or a chest to pin it on? I am sure that you follow all other rules to the letter as well, never ever have you sped or driven even after a single drink, you all declare extra income from having sold something no matter what the dollar value or in anyway ever done anything against any law as by your attitudes from your postings, you are as pure as newly fallen snow.

Again for the sake of all humanity, tell how you became so enlightened and just. If there is some reason you can't tell us, then may we bask in the glow that must emanate from your very body. Your mere words scribed onto the lowliest of of parchment would in a heartbeat become more holy than any teachings written by anyone. The Analects, The Koran, The Old and New Testament, and The Talmud would all be proven to be false as you people are the Truth.

So perfect that we can lo longer consider you even human, You have become Deity's or even Demigods. Ah, what views you must enjoy from up there. It is indeed a bitter realization that I, a mere flawed mortal, will never be able to attain your majesty. I shall however somehow manage to deal with this bane, maybe by accepting that some people are just born superior. It will be difficult, but I will try.

Hopefully they shut down these sites and catch those involved, for the sake of all the people that actually pay for the things they want rather than steal it off from the internet.

Let all the pirating fanboys thieves beging the down-voting

Piracy will NEVER be stopped. When the world is run by a single government, maybe, but pirates will continue to set up shop around the world where copyright laws take time to find them. Its inherently in human nature, these people do it for fun. They do it to spread software only for the purpose of doing it. Some don't even care about sharing, but rather do it just to show they can crack the software.

Spend money finding child rapists, murderers, and fixing our economy. One less dollar to Microsoft or Blizzard entertainment or Will Smith isn't going to kill anyone.

What makes you think they are trying to stop piracy?

I seriously have no idea why are you voting down my comment above...

Do you people really like this work with super-rich and dirt-poor people ? How long do you think the rich will be able to steal everything ? How long until they steal the flesh out of our bones?

It would be much better for everyone if money didn't exist at all, and everything ( including software ) was open-source, and "free".

There would be no need for armies, police, raids, no thieves, no pirates of any kind ( as there is nothing to steal, since everything is available to everyone )

Google "The Venus Project" if you want to know what I'm talking about.

And just earlier today some European was talking all smug about America losing their rights for having our phones traced. Looks like the foot is on the other foot!

Apparently you don't realize that socialism doesn't really work in the real world (humans are greedy)
[citation][nom]keczapifrytki[/nom]What is wrong with you people? Raiding pirates? What happened to child molesters? Rapists? Murderers? Osama Bin Laden???? The mothafu***** Colombian drug cartels? You got the balls to carry out raids? Try doing it in the Jungle, where you could actually save some human lives from slavery. They are just a bunch of bullies. When it comes to serious business and some serious, bad mofos, these hero cops shut their mouths.[/citation]
Just because some are combating software piracy doesn't mean that others can't fight whatever you posted above.

If there was no money we'd be back to the barter system, wherein you could arbitrarily price items based on your mood today. Also if everything was "free" and results of innovation and research were never paid for, there would be no incentive to create new stuff. As bad as capitalism sounds, it has allowed humanity to progress at phenomenal rates.

All these technology and benefits we enjoy today are almost always influenced by money.

Oh yes, excuse me, I forgot that this site is mostly visited by brainwashed americans who belive that it's "normal" and "natural" for the police to come into your house and steal your computers whenever they feel like it (actually, when ordered by your rich shepherds)

Nevermind me, going back to my little "communist" side of the earth... you keep enjoying your little "land of freedom" consisting of 9 to 5 slave jobs and 100.000$ debts.

Lawl Wave, no need to get into freeking country debate.
Plus it shouldn't be thought of as pirating, think of it as failed attempts to protect software. Like Microsoft "Accidentally" leaking out the master key to Windows 7 Ultimate. Obviously thats a security fail right there.

When I read the title, my first thought was this was going to be a hard drive benchmark test... as in 48 Redundant Array of Independent Disks setups... sadly, I was disappointed. Ah well...

So, instead of a counter argument concerning his points, you're going to say that? It would appear that you're the one who's brainwashed... You know, if you had used actual logic, it could have been an interesting debate...

Also:
The raids happened in Europe - with probable cause - genius.

Also: You say there would be no thieves? lol... As long as there is stored property, there will be crime and wars. If you look back as history, the first time war (and crime with it) came into existence was when people started farming. There would be raids on food stores. There was no money back then, yet there was still fighting.

[citation][nom]dEAne[/nom]software, money and the internet come so tricky now a days.[/citation]

So because you don't agree with the price they charge it makes it wrong to crackdown on it? It's a free market, no one makes you buy anything you don't want. Music isn't a need. People obviously buy it if they continue to charge that amount.

And saying they are wasting their time on "little" things like this is like saying why are we wasting our time with the hungry in America when we should be helping 3rd World countries, just because the battle is not on the extreme of one spectrum doesn't make it unimportant.

About time the went after them. Moral of the story, if you cannot afford the product, save your money and buy it. Argue it any way you want, it is copyrighted and licensed by the companies that made the software. No pay, no play. Can't pay for your hobby......find a new one like running, knitting, finger painting, yodeling. Those things are free, not professionally designed software.

While I support the whole "give us gamers what we deserve" thing, getting mad because they are cracking down on something illegal doesn't fly with me.

I wish they would quit trying to stop piracy.
I don't support it, if I can't buy something, I don't.
However, the enforcement of anti-piracy laws is ridiculous. It's like prohibition- everywhere you look someone has some illegal alcohol/files. You can't stop it because there are just too many ways to hide and more people will step up to replace those taken down.

Plus, this really has a very small effect on most people's day to day lives. Stopping crime in the streets would be a much more useful occupation.
