ok i know the 480 is on the rise looks like there getting there *** straight finally. but will it get to 5970 status or do you think once its all said and done it will still come out in 2nd place

The 485 will be coming out soon and will surpass the 5970

i doubt that, even with perfect scaling 480sp to 512sp is only 7% increase

485 is going to be 30 dollars more then the current 480 and 470 will be phased out for the 475 and 485

well i guess the only good thing about that would be cheaper 470's and 480's (especially from the people who will replace them for almost no reason)

me, i am waiting a generation as my setup is plenty powerful for 1080P (2 x 4870 1GB)
