Hey guys

I running an HIS HD4850
One things though is that it seems to run quite hot.

I would like to see the temps it runs at but the software never came with any temp monitor.. You know of a way I could check my GPU temp or does the card itself not have the thermometer for me to check?

:p

Thanks
The Kid.

Install the catalyst control center pacakage.

Right click on your desktop after installation.
You see the ATI logo to enter the catalyst control center at the top of the context menu. Open up catalyst in advanced mode.

Browse to the overdrive options located on the left of the control panel.
There should be a little key button click it and select ok when the warning dialog box appears. You should now see the temperature on the right side of the control panel. You will also see the current activity ratings and fan speed ratings.

Also there is a program called GPU-Z. And aftermarket cooling will also bring down temps; consider a Zalman VF 1000. It dropped my temps from 50-55 degrees to 31-32 at idle with a 40 mhz o/c on the gpu
