Running into problems with win 7 and crossfire 4870's. Get ati errors and crashes and freezes when doing pretty much anything. Specs are as follows on that system. Tried multiple drivers and same result.
msi p45 platinum
q6600
4gigs ocz reaper
win 7
pc p&c quad 750

As in bsod's that say ati driver eror or vid driver error. Have tried drivers 8.10,8.11,8.12,9.1, and 9.2 Clean installs. Ran driver cleaner and cleaned up registry with ccleaner. It works fine with either card just not both.

You can try this driver from ATI.

Release notes do not mention that CF is not working, but also do not specifically say that it is, either. Some mention of CF issues with hd3xxx series (hd3200 from memory) but that does not seem to apply in your case.

Saw mention a few days ago that release 9.3 would integrate Win 7 support but not yet released ATM.

Thought about this for a bit... CJL is running a 4870 x2, but that is internal CF. Your issue could be related to Win7's implementation of your MB's pci-e bus. Maybe check with MSI for advice on this issue. Possibly MSI have updated drivers for Win7 / MB?

Possible.

I'd say that new motherboard drivers would definitely be worth a try...

Good luck... Wish I had the money to have your and CJL's problems...

Now, that's rubbing it in a bit...

OK, my pc may not be the best, but I live in Sydney, AUS, so I get to see the sunrise about the time you see yesterday's sunset...

Do let us know how it goes. Won't help me, but may help others.

Are you happy with this release? I can't test it personally, and don't want to go spreading false rumours...

This is "roommate." I haven't had a chance to really go in and do other tests, but to be more specific, I set a car on fire, and I think right when it was going to explode, thats when it froze up. But, I will do other tests later when I get a chance. Since it's by XFX, I don't think that the card would be the issue. But I will try other things as well to see if that helps the cause.

3d Mark Vantage works fine.

The new drivers work for the most part. Far Cry 2 still freezes after about 10 to 15 min in the game. Even with bumping up the fan speeds it still freezes. COD 5 works great, vantage works great, Will test out crysis on the system and see what it does.
