i switched pcie slots with my 4870 and now my tv doesnt pick up the 4870 using a dvi to hdmi converter...any suggestions?
i dont get anything durring the boot either..completely black..but if i plug in my dvi monitor it works fine.

because i did have 2 4870's in crossfire...one of them died, and as i was troubleshooting it, i took the top card out..wich happend to be the dead one...sooo...i put the one still kickin in the top slot...now this problem exists

btw..i for the first couple days i hadnt moved the second 4870...i was just thankful i still had a working card..so i had kept it in the same slot, and plugged my hdtv to it from there...then moved it to the top slot..bam...more problems

I might be wrong, but didn't you just troubleshoot to indicate a problem with your top slot ? Maybe the card that resided there was not bad, or something catastrophic happened and took out your slot with the card ?

i actually thought the same thing...so i tested the card that wasnt working in the second slot, still nothing, not even on the dvi monitor..so im pretty sure its dead, plus it doesnt hardly radiate any heat..when it worked it was pretty hot and the heatpipes were to hot to touch..this really sucks..doesnt seem like anyone has had a problem like this before..wich makes this hard to troubleshoot..only other thing i can think of that would be the problem is possible the dvi to hdmi connector went bad during the switch
