Hello, I bought the 4930k with a H80i for cooling and im getting 20-30 degress on idle. I stressed the cpu all cores at full load and got a max of 40 degrees... Is that even possible? (its slightly o.c.ed from 3,4 to 3,7) My old 3930k on same setup hits 70 at full load (same cooler o.c.ed slightly from 3,2 to 3,5). Im using Real Temp. Maybe Real Temp cant recognise proper the CPU cause its kinda new? I forgot to mention my motherboard is asus p9x79.
Any suggestions?
thanx

Try using the software that goes with your motherboard, from Asus as it will probably be more accurate.

You upgraded from a 3930K to a 4930K? :O Most of us can only dream about owning either.

Eh, go download hwmonitor or hwinfo64. See if they provide the same results:

Your temperatures are awesome btw. I hit 50c in bf4 with my fx-8350, intel cpus are supposted to be in the 70's.
Also using a H80i.

I use an i5 i5 4670k overclocked to 4.2ghz and it runs 24 idle with my h100i and my awesome carbide air desktop.
When playing bf4 it goes to 35- low 40s. Its amazing how cool its running and the fans are barely moving.

I plan to push for more overclocking soon as I'm breaking it in.
