4G - Corsair or Ballistix

Hey,

About to complete a new gaming system, Asus Rampage (X48), I was wondering whether to go for

- Corsair Dominator 2x2GB DDR2 PC8500 (1066 Mhz) - Cas 5 (5-5-5-15) -
(Reference: TWIN2X2048-8500C5DF)

or

- Crucial Ballistix Tracer Dual 2x2GB DDR2 PC 6400 (800 Mhz) Cas 4-4-4-12@2.2v
(Refrence: BL2KIT25664AL)


Price is similar, and I'm not a mad OCer. Cheers

If you are not OCing or significantly OCing, then PC6400 will do just fine. However, one advantage I see is that the Corsair will run the speeds the Crucial lists at a lower voltage. 2.2v is very high for DDR800. The Corsair does DDR1066 at 2.1v so it should likely run DDR800 at 4,4,4,12 at 1.8v - 2.0v.
