Community members please help me. I'm upgrading my PC . At present its having Intel Dual core E2200 processor with 2GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM. I want to upgrade the ram to 8GB DDR3 1333MHZ. keeping 2X 4GB RAM's at separate RAM slot.

I'm buying a ZION DDR3 1333Mhz RAM Module. " I want to know that ZION DDR3 1333Mhz RAM will it run successfully with my present (Intel Dual Core Pentium4 E2200 @2.20Ghz [800fsb]) processor. Thank you. Waiting for someones reply.

If you have no idea how to change things in your Bios and you are unsure you want to try the other option is to just upgrade the CPU to one with a 1333mhz bus.

Here is a example.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 (B775-65) 2.66GHz 6MB 1333MHz $33
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-2-Quad-Q9400-B775-65-2-66GHz-6MB-1333MHz-SLB6B-CPU-LGA775-Processor-/291536574894?hash=item43e0ef19ae

The following will work as well WITHOUT A Bios update just plug it in and go, I would advice one above your current 2.2ghz clock which is why I posted the Q9400 sample above.

Core 2 Duo E6540,E6550,E6750,E6859,E8190,E8200,E8300,E8400,E8500,E8600 "Ebay $11-$25"
Core 2 Quad Q8200S,Q9400S,Q9550S,Q8200,Q8300,Q9300,Q9400,Q9500Q9450,Q9550,Q9650 "Ebay $20-$65"

1. Are you running a preassembled System like a Dell? If so you have DDR2 slots only and can't use DDR3.
2. IF you happen to have a board that has both DDR2 and DDR3 you may be able to use it but your CPU is going to down clock it to 800mhz, you will have to try and overclock it back up but your success depends on the Chipset on the board. Some of those hybrid boards would only take 1066mhz ram and allow overclocking up to 1333mhz.

So the main question is what motherboard are you running? If you don't know is this a Prebuilt and if so what Make and Model.

I'm having MSI G41M P33 Combo which supports both DDR2 (2slots) & DDR3(2slots) RAM Modules. At present I'm having 2GB DDR2 800FSB RAM , I want to change my RAM and & use ZION DDR3 4GB 1333Mhz RAM. The only thing which I fear is will it be compatible with my present processor Intel Dual Core E2200 800FSB @2.20Ghz...

Ok.. I'm upgrading my processor and motherboard at the end of this year. to AMD 3ghz Hexacore Processor and ASUS Motherboard. At present I'm having a DDR2 FSB800 RAM so I want to make up 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM by adding another (2GB DDR2 800FSB or 4GB DDR2 800FSB). Last help I need is that which brand DDR2 800FSB RAM will be best with cheap price. Like Zion..etc etc..................... Yes Another thing After I make up with 4GB or 6GBRAM .......... Will be there any issue for my gaming , processing , etc as I'm having 800FSB RAM and processor. Like Modern games Call of Duty Ghost , Advance Warfare , Crysis3, GTA5 requires very high-end PC's

2.2ghz Dual Core + 800mhz DDR2 isn't going to perform real well in those titles regardless of the RAM you add. A Quad Core Q9XXX overclocked slightly to say 3ghz with DDR2 1066,DDR3 1066 or 1333mhz "Overclocked back to 1333mhz" would be much more playable. I understand you don't wont to drop ~$65 on something your replacing I'm just telling you the facts. Consider this the Motherboard + Q9XXX + DDR3 will go as a combo for $75 to $115 on Ebay so it's more of a investment with a return later down the line if not then DDR2 is below.

DDR2 Must be installed 4GB 2X2gb only 4GB Stick may not work or read as 2GB. Brands to look for' Kingston, Hynix, Samsung, Corsair, Crucial and Micron.

Hynix 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 800MHz $10

Thanx delaro...... Adding another 2GB DDR2 800 RAM will be best for me. My PC is new. Only I'm having old dual core processor and my msi motherboard. I'm having 1TB new HDD Seagate , New Graphics card. For the timing I'll buy a DDR2 ram which cost 6$ (Rs800INR) for this year next year....... middle of February next year I'll buy a ASUS Motherboard which supports AMD AM3 FX-6Core processor and Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 1333 Ram (X2) RAM's

Yes another thing If I use my present 2GB 800 DDR2 RAM + another 4GB DDR 800 RAM . = total makes 6GB DDR2 800 RAM will it remain unrecognized by my OS ? If I make 6G RAM then I have chance to play high end games...............

If I was you I wouldn't even plan a build until after Thanksgiving that is when all the Fire Sales start and the prices drop. AMD is releasing a new Socket next year so I would expect AM3+ boards to start going on sale with nice discounts. You could also look into I5's normally they are decently priced around that time, I paid $187 for my I5 4590K and some of the earlier chips like the I5 4460 dropped to as low as $130. If Gaming is your concern a Non Overclockable I5 averages better FPS in nearly all Titles over a Overclocked FX 8350 and below.
