Hello, its my first post, i want to ask
i have a budget setup:
Motherboard GA-G41MT-S2PT 333/1066/800 MHz FSB
C2Q9550 2.83 Ghz
RAM 4GB DDR3 PC12800 (Brand: Smart Memory)
VGA HD 7730 2GB DDR5

today i got my package from internet ( 1x4GB DDR3 Corsair Value Select CMV4GX3M1A1600C11)
and i put it to replace / add my old Ram
and it can't boot, i though the RAM would resize the Speed to compatible with the Mobo,
any help will be grateful,
Thanks

False.

Some motherboards may be able to, but some motherboards don't like it when you mix RAM like that.

But just to make sure you didn't buy a broken part, I would try to use the computer with ONLY the new RAM stick. If the new stick works by itself then you've found out that your motherboard can't handle two different sticks.
