4gb of 6gb RAM available windows 7 64 bit

whenever i go to windows task manager and see the ram available it shows up 4gb available and it says 6gb installed i really need that extra 2gb of ram to play high end graphics so im asking how can i enable those extra 2 is it a problem from the motherboard?
My specs are:
Intel Core i7 980x 3.33 ghz
GIGABYTE GA X58A UD3R rev2.0
ATI RADEON HD 5870
CORSAIR HX 850W
SEAGATE BARRACUDA 1.5TB
KINGSTON HYPER X 6GB (3 x 2GB)
COOLER MASTER HAF 932 CASE

Is it recognized in BIOS?

The first thing I would try is to click on start button and run msconfig,
follow the instruction here

If this doesn't fix it: you have bigger problems

you need to un check the Maximum Memory than you can use all the memory your pc says some 64.bit 128 gigs don't forget to reboot
