Hello,

I am upgrading my PC with new processor, Graphic Card and RAM.

I already have the new CPU, which is Ryzen 5 2600 and I just ordered the RAM Corsair Vengeance 2x16GB Kit 3000MHz.

So the graphic card is what I have to order. I've had in mind to buy the Powercolor Red Dragon RX 580. but I am not sure whether should it be 4Gb or 8GB.

I have MSI B450 TOMAHAWK AM4 motherboard and LG 24MK400H-B 23.5" monitor.

My monitor is 60Hz with 1080p ( and I am pretty happy with playing on 1080p )

I read some opinions on various forums and some people say that you shouldn't buy more than 4GB GPU for 1080p monitor. Some say you should buy more for future upgrade.

I really don't intend on buying new monitor any time soon and as I said 1080p is more than enough for me.

So should I really buy 4GB GPU and play on it for as long as it lasts or is there anything else I should consider?

Solution
If me I would take 580 4gb over the 570 8gb. The extra performance of the 580 is more useful than the extra 4gb.

I am not recommending this card but people use a 1060 3gb at 1080p. 4gb is not bad.

Oh wow, 21%. If it was closer I would go 8gb just encase for future games but it’s not worth that much. I would go 4gb, if you do ever struggle you can turn texture settings down in those games.
Yes, sellers are stubborn to lower any prices, unlike most of the stores worldwide.

Not to mention they play dead when you ask them about the current AMD promotion of free games and Xbox pass for certain GPUs and CPUs.

One last question. What about RX 570 8GB ASRock Phantom Gamin D OC vs Powercolor Rx 580 4GB?

Aksing this, because 8GB of Powercolor Red Dragon is sold out and ASRock one is closer in price.

Alright, thanks a lot for the help.

I will buy the 4gb one, unless the prices for the other rx 580 8gb cards get a good discount.
