4Gb Ram for Asus striker extreme DDR2

I'm running a Q6600 thorugh an Asus Striker Extreme and want to upgrade the RAM to 4gb for Windows 7 64bit. Asus states that it takes upto 1200 (SLI ready) but I know the board can be very picky. Has anyone got suggestions or past experience? I'd like to keep the cost below £80 ($130)

As it says in the title DDR2, I just know that the Striker Extreme can be ultra picky
