Hello,

I currently have a 2x2 GB Kingston memory kit installed in my motherboard (dual channel). I'm going to upgrade it to 6GB in the following way:
The 4GB kit (which is currently used): KVR800D2N6K2/4G and I have another 2GB Kit: KVR800D2N5K2/2G I want to use them in dual channel, eg: the 4GB kit in A1 and B1 DIMM and the 2GB kit in A2 and D2 DIMM.
The question is : is this compatible and will it work with automated settings in the BIOS?
Motherboard: Asus p5ql-pro

Thanks.

Yes, they are all 1.8V DIMMs, but unfortunately the timing is not the same, the the 4gb kit is a CL6 (6-6-6-18) and the other 2gb kit is a CL5 (5-5-5-15) ram. Would they work together?

Yes, they'll probably work... but you can't be sure of the system's stability with mixed timings. Some systems are more forgiving than others. It would be best to get the same timings if you haven't already bought the RAM.
But if you already have the RAM, test it out. Check with CPU-Z to see which pair of stks' timings the memory controller defaulted to. It should be the slowest for stability. If all boots OK, then run some stress tests like prime95.
