Solution W W Woot97 Feb 24, 2015 MrLawlessGaming : Woot97 : Go with the 1440p 144hz I have the ROG and it looks amazingly smooth and I would take the smoothness over 4k any day. What GPU(s) would I need to run it? Also, is 1440p really that much clearer than 1080p? 1440p is quite a bit clearer than my old 1080p monitor and all you need GPU wise would probably be a GTX 970 or a GTX 980 no need for sli.
