4k@60hz ips gsync vs 2k@144hz tn, which is better for gtx 1080 with i7 8700k

Hi, I am building a new gaming PC with i7 8700k and gtx 1080 am confused on what monitor to go for to reap max benefits from the setup.

What type of games do you play?

Cs:go, fortnite,pubg,Witcher 3 and etc, am used to playing @60fps.

Hmm cs:go and Pubg would be better with 144Hz while the others it’s more of a personal choice, smoothness vs picture quality.

If me I’d go 1440p 144Hz.
