4k 60HZ VS 1080p 144HZ?

Hi,

I am currently trying to look for a beast gaming monitor to play games on. And I really want to watch 4k videos as well 🙁. But that monitor with 4k and 144hz cost like 2k which is to much money. I can spent around £300 can go up if needed to.

Is their a monitor which has 2k 144HZ maybe? As 2k is a little bit better than 1080p.

Also if you where going to game and wanted to watch good quality videos. which would you choice and why? 1080p 144hz or 4k 60hz?

See if there is a 1440p that does 100+ hz in your price range.

1440p is for mugs. It does literally nothing better than 1080p for around the same price as a 4K 60 monitor.

Personally I’d consider ultrawide (2560x1080p). 21:9 aspect ratio so great for movies and games. A 1080Ti should be able to push it to 100FPs on it and it offers more productivity than 1440p.
