Question 4K content while resolutuion is set to 1080p

Hey, I have windows 7 and my resolution is set to 1080p.
One of my displays is a 4K screen.

If I watch 4K content on the 4K screen while windows resolution is set to 1080p, will I see the content in 1080p or 4K?
