I just recently upgraded my computer and i'm trying to use my 4K tv for my monitor , however when i try to go into the Nvidia control panel the native resolution which is 4k x 2k 3840 x 2160 I can only get 30 hz refresh out of that resolution and any other 4k resolutions from the control panel. How can i get it to work properly at 60 hz and 4k. My set up is GTX 970, amd 8320- 8 core, and im trying to use my 55" 4k tv. Thank you

Which cable are you using, a link? Which TV are you using, a model number would be nice? Both of those has to be HDMI 2.0 to get it to work. Display port won't work for you because I'm 100% sure you don't have a Panasonic TV as they don't have a 55 inch 4k TV, they are the only company out there that has built in DP 1.2 on their 4k TVs, so HDMI 2.0 is your only option. Also, as of right now there isn't a single adapter out there that will successfully convert DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 for 4k@60Hz, so that is not an option either if you are using an adapter.

My tv is a samsung. The model number is UN55HU7250FXZA, and i'm using a audio quest cinnamon hdmi cable.

Did you really pay like almost $100 for that cable? Can you try to find out the model number of it, so I can see the specs to see if it is the 2.0 version. As for the TV, I'm pretty sure it has HDMI 2.0 port on it, but probably not all 4 ports is HDMI 2.0. I think maybe your 4th HDMI port is HDMI 2.0 if your cable is also HDMI 2.0. I'll have a live chat with Samsung to double check.

I think you are stuck.
Almost no TV that I know of can take a input to display 4k at 60hz.
It needs a displayport connection which no tv currently has.
Or, a hdmi connection of suitable speed.
Of the few that I have seen with fast hdmi, they do not display in 4.4.4 chroma but simulate it at 4.4.2.

i blame best buy for their crazy prices. the model number is HDMICINNAMON2M. i have it plugged into HDMI port 4 right now.

I just stated that Panasonic has it, lol. Every time I post that in a 4k TV thread, it is as though that specific comment is invisible.

Well, from researching the cable it does seem like it is 4k@60Hz capable. I'm trying to live chat with Samsung right now but it seems their live chat died off like Newegg with extreme slow waiting time, they used to be instant, but I'll keep trying. You could've got a cable for 1/4 of the price you paid for and still get 4k@60Hz on Amazon.

If you could link something you would suggest that would be great

I found out what my problem was. the tv needed the HDMI ports set for UHD so now i am running 3840 x 2160. I did notice one thing with that and i'm not sure if it's just once in awhile but i was on another HDMI input and when i went to go back to the PC there was no signal so i'm hoping that goes away.
