4k graphic monitors

I got a 4k model XB280HK g sync monitor with 2 gtx 970s in SLI others on you tube ect getting low frame rates but I run games on medium settings not maxed as same as them but I get 60 frames overall like games like gta 5 tomb raider and rise of the tomb raider , why are they getting low frame rates and i'm not ? is there something i'm doing wrong ? I got it connected using DP

because they are trying to max out the settings and even 2 x gtx970 wont do it at 4k

I seen 1 that had 1 gtx 970 on gta 5 nothing maxed but on minimum that I can understand its on 4 k settings b/c when I change the resolution to 1080 p to 4 k the graphic usage bar changes , mcnumpty with all prices on video cards considered will you use 2 gtx 970s or pay twice as much for 2 980tis ? but for me the resolution works for me , i'm not a big fan to try to max out every game out there , as for me I didn't see any justification maxing out for paying out the cash , for me looking for a better resolution was better than changing settings

2 x gtx970 would be my choice i would rather play with some settings turned down than the cost of 2 x 980ti

though with pascal cards soon 4k gaming may be in for a change
