Being in Ney York, if a Microcenter is close to you...be sure to check it out. They have great mobo/cpu combos, easy exchange policy if you have issues, and sometime the open-box deals can rock. I actually just finished putting together a present for someone over the last six weeks via open-box hunting, and came up with this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.97)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($24.96)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($17.96)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory ($50.96)
Storage: Crucial BX200 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive...
