[SOLVED] 4k monitor stuck at 30hz

Hi guys i've had a philips monitor brilliance 288p for 3 years now and Green and Red lines started appearing on the monitor I thought it was the GPU so switched out my 960 for a 1070 Nvidia ROG but the lines persisted, I recnetly discovered the issue was with my refresh rate (at least I think it is) as it is stuck at 30hz and I only have an option to put it down to 29hz, how can I make it 60hz? The monitor is connected to my Graphics card via Display Port, thanks in advance.

Try a different dp cable and do a clean driver install. Also might try an hdmi just to see. If neither of those help, need to see if monitor has warranty.
