I'm considering upgrading to get a 4k monitor to game on, i currently have a 1080 and 1440 dual monitor set up but am thinking about adding in a 4k monitor to game on in the middle and use the other 2 monitors for skype/teamspeak/twitch/browser, I currently have an asus crosshair V formula Z motherboard asus r9 290x GPU and AMD FX-9590 8 core 5GHz processor, 16GB DDR3 3200 memory, 1000W PSU, will I be able to run an Asus PB287Q at 60 fps and run the other two monitors also, or should I drop my 1080 monitor and just use the 4k and 1440 one

Solution
I don't there is a single card that can run 4k at 60 fps yet, except for the 295x2, but that's 2 cards, only take 1 slot though :) If you are going to run a 4k monitor and even more monitors, then you would definitely need more GPU power.

I remember seeing that AMD just put out a new update for the R series and 7xxx and higher cards for 4k support, would it be to run the 4k monitor at 60FPS alone and that's it, or will I need more than the 290x to be able to run even just the 4k at 60 fps
