4k or 1080p xps 15?

I am in a dilemma about buying 4k or 1080p xps 15, I want a display that doesn't show individual pixels, so how clear is 1080 15 inch display?

1080 is good up to 17". IMO you need 4K on displays that are 27" and up.

I have a Dell L702x which is a 17" display with 1080 and aside from color being all wrong, the resolution is great.

Nevertheless I am going to uprade to a 4K device.
