Question 4K or 1440p Monitor to connect to my MSI laptop ?

Hello,

I currently have a Samsung S24D390HL 24" 1080p monitor connected via hdmi in "extended mode" to my MSI GE76 Raider laptop, which has 4K resolution.

I'm a 3D graphic designer and I'd like to change the external monitor, which is a bit old and could be better adapted to my laptop, as the difference in resolution between the two is quite large.

I'm not sure if it's better to switch to a 4k or 1440p monitor?
I've got a budget of around 200/270$ and I don't want to have too big monitor, the 24" I have is sufficent for me but I have see that there is not 24" for 4K.

I have found these:
- ASUS TUF VG27AQZ
- AOC Q27G2E
- PHILIPS 276E8VJSB
- LG 27UL500
- Philips 278E1A
- AOC U27V4EA
- LG 27UL500-W

Thanks
Great days!

If you're sticking with 24", then stick with 1080p.

The problem with going to a 4K monitor at 24" (there have been some) is that unless you have hawk eyes, you're going to need to bump up the UI scaling by 200%, which effectively gives you the same workspace as a 1080p resolution. If you can manage it, 150% will get you the same workspace as 1440p.

Even if you go down to 1440p with 24", you're still likely going to need to bump up the UI scaling.

Thanks for your message.

And if I would like to try 27", what monitor with my budget and with 4k or 1140p would advice me?

Ok i see thanks.
There is a good 1440p in the list of monitor I have mentionned?
I don't know if there is a big or minor difference of visual quality between 1080 to 1440p for my work (render 3d/photoshop).
