4K through GTX 760?

Hey guys!

Got the funds pulled together, and I actually have a 28" 4K display in the mail... can't wait to see how it compares to my current 24" 1080p monitor. It's a Dell model that I picked up for $500; almost spent the extra $300 on a 24" 4K UltraSharp, but my text already causes enough eyestrain.

Anyway, I'm still picking up either a second 760 or a whole new 980, and had the 980 in my shopping cart ready to go, but I ran into something interesting that stopped me. I hadn't actually downloaded nVidia's new driver that included DSR yet, and just did so this morning. My lowly single 760 can ALMOST run everything I want at 4K downscaled to 1080p... I was amazed. Skyrim and DayZ are the biggest offenders, and I'm sure Inquisition or TW3 wouldn't have fared well, but for a mid-range card I'm impressed. Those aside, though, I typically don't do a lot of next-gen AAA titles.

A 980 (or even 970) would end up costing me a fair amount more than a second 760, and I can't believe that a second 760 wouldn't give me enough horsepower to drive everything to capacity. My question is this: I see that it can officially run at 4K resolutions, but I can find nothing on connectivity other than that I have a DP out. This is EVGA's reference-designed, stock clocked card. Can a dual 760 setup push 4K at 60FPS through a single DP connection, or am I looking at 30? If so, what cables should I pick up with my next NewEgg order? - I have a cheap DVI right now, which obviously won't suffice.

Much appreciated!

It would be, but I'm already getting almost-acceptable performance at 4K through nVidia's DSR, and I think a second 760 would be perfectly fine. It would probably cost the same after I sold off my current 760, but just dropping in a second would be a lot less hassle. I respect that, on paper, the 970/980 are both much better options, but the performance I'm already getting out of just a single 760 is borderline acceptable after turning settings down a bit. I can't believe that a second card wouldn't be enough power.

All that said, does anyone anything about what the highest resolution and refresh rate is that I could push through the DP on either of those 760s? I can't find any information
