Hello,

I was just wondering about using my Sony Bravo's XE93 4K HDR TV as a computer monitor. I recently got a pc with the specs:

RTX2070 super,
I7 9700 3Ghz,
MSI Z390-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory,
Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply.

Would using my TV as the monitor cause any problems in the pc? I want to use for high demand gaming. My main concern is the output being too high demand for some specs. Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

I have been using a Sony 49" 4K HDR TV as a monitor for a year. Excellent! You need to check if your TV supports Chroma 4:4:4.
As I understand it, you can't have 4k+60Hz+HDR+4:4:4 due to HDMI bandwidth limits. At best, you'll have to use Chroma Subsampling at 4:2:2 which will cause some degree of banding with gradients. Are you at 30Hz refresh rate? Actually, looks like it's workable at 50Hz and I think OP has a European model TV?

At 4k with the 2070 Super, some games will be down at an average 51FPS (Witcher 3) and some will be 250FPS (CS:GO), so it really depends. You can always adjust quality settings, or render at 1440p and let the TV upscale it to gain some more FPS. See here for 37 games benchmarked on the 2070...
