Question 4K TV not detecting signal from PC Hdmi. Only detects when I plug into monitor then unplug and plug back into tv?

Hi guys I have a little problem, I have been wanting to play my pc on my 4k TV instead of my monitor for a change, but my tv isn't picking up the signal when my pc is powered on.

I'm having to connect it to my monitor then unplug it and plug it into the tv, that's the only way it works, I've set it to basic settings like 1080 and 60hz but still nothing and when it's connected to my TV I press my pc power button it powers off straight away, if I also plug it back into my monitor I don't get any signal until I power off the pc again.

Any ideas???

If running the signal through the monitor works fine then it's an issue with your TV. An HDMI connection is a mere data transfer signaling so there's not much to it in terms of complexity. The problem is either the cable or any of the locations, so if you say it works on your monitor then check to see if different cables work and/or other devices.
