[SOLVED] 4K tv will not show input from PC

Just got a brand new PC with a RTX 3070ti. I will hook my 4K tv to the PC with a HDMI 2.0b cable, to have some casual gaming on the sofa.

The TV is a LG 55UH750v.

Here's the problem. The TV says "no signal" when the resolution is set at 4K@60hz - got it to show my PC at 1080p@30hz - but it was awful!

I resently had a PS5 working all fine on the TV.

Have tried to only have the TV connected to the PC - have tried to dublicate screens - to extend the screen, using another HDMI port on the TV. Nothing working at all.

Anyone able to help?

15m? Try a cable shorter than 5m.

Tried another cable (10m) - now there are no problem for the tv to show my desktop, but now there are flickering colored pixels - I Think i’ll try a shorter cable tomorrow

Try the cable that came with the PS5. If you still have a problem we can troubleshoot further.

Just tried with a 5m high speed HDMI cable (seem like a cheap one too), and it worked with no flickering pixels.
Could a 10m HDMI 2.1 active optic cable get the signal through?

Anything over 20 feet needs to be very high quality standard or a decent fiber optic cable.

Just ordered a Delock active optic 15 m cable at 120$ - i’ll test it before it goes over the attic

Be sure to note the plugs as fiber optic HDMI are directional.

Yes - Noticed that one is source and the other is Display

Got the new cable earlier, and it works perfectly! Thx for the help
