4K Video Editing

I am getting into 4K video editing and was wondering. Can I get away with using something like a gtx1060 or rx480 or do I need to drop the money on a quadro and if so, which quadro for entry level stuff? I will be using i7-6700. I will mainly be using Pinnacle Studio 20 for my software

4k video editing will be fine on a gtx 1060 or rx480. You don't need something as powerful as a quadro for video editing.

Thank you much. Would I see a huge advantage with a quadro if I do decide to go that route or is it not worth it?

It`s not worth it, with a quadro you are paying lots more for a normal GPU (NVIDIA uses the same chips in quadros as the newest GPU`s. They add more VRAM and make drivers optimised for the workload but that's it).
