4k vs 34 inch curved 1440

What would be a better buy for a monitor right now for gaming and photo/video editing. I'm on roughly a $1,200 or so budget for a new monitor.

lol, you might as well get the Asus Swift then, and 4k will depend on your hardware, if it is enough to handle it smoothly.

I have, but it was 1080p, wasn't as curved as I imagined. But it was still pretty cool, I didn't think it'd look good from anywhere but the center, but it looked fine from different angles too.
