4k vs dual monitors

Hey guys I'm just writing this to ask all of you would you prefer a 4k monitor or 3 monitors? Because at the moment I've gotten a 4k monitor for PC gaming and it wasn't as good as I was expecting and I've been thinking if I should send it back and get 3 screens instead

I personally would go with three screens, but I use an Nvidia Surround set up, so Im biased. Im not ready for 4k and Im not sure the market is quite ready to from the models that have shown up. I do plan to upgrade when 4ks are faster for gaming and gpus can catch up (next year some time).

I'm using two R9 290 Tri-X cards with 1 4k monitor and 1 1090p monitor so would you say send the monitor back and wait till the gpus and CPUs get powerfull anther and when 4k monitors get cheaper?
