4k will not work stuck in 30 hz

ok, so my monitor stuck in 30hz mod. I change the Dp from 1.1 to 1.2 manually on the Monitor with still no sucess of changing the 30hz mode. I still do not know what I am doing wrong. I got all the hardware to run 4k why won't it work

Could it be a cable problem? I would also try to adjust refresh rate in Nvidia driver's control panels.

Yah it was a cable issue, just not the one you would normally think about. You can only have a 10 foot cable on dp 1.2. Stupid as that sounds, I was using a 15 ft cable which was restricting my dp.

That's awesome to find the solution. High bandwidth digital signal delivery has always had strict standard and requirements about cabling. Length is usually well defined and needs to be followed to make everything run perfectly.
