I gather that you want to use both of them for overclocking, but I am not sure what plug to use..
I have the Aorus Pro Z390 board and the Corsair RM850x psu. The psu came with two identical CPU cables, both with 8 pin on each end.

So how do I match this up? Obviously one of the 8pin goes to the 8pin, but what do I do with the 4pin?

Solution
the seasonic PSU I have has CPU connectors that split...so attached they make a 8-pin connector...otherwise they're 2 4-pin attached to the same plug. So I have One 8-pin and 4-pin with 4-pins hanging off in space
