Thanks in advance to those who will be of help. ^__________^

A Sniper Rifle has a listed Acc. of 6+3 (page 279), which means 6
points of "built-in" Acc., plus 3 points from the scope, right? (page
269).
At page 364 the manual states the combined bonus for "targeting
systems" cannot exceed the "base Acc.".
In the above case, it means I cannot assign more than 6 or more than
6+3=9?

Also, do these "combined bonus for targeting system" stack with the +2
for three seconds of Aim (page 364) and the +1 for Ranged All Out
Attack (Determined)?

Any other suggestion/comment useful on snipering VERY difficult
targets?
A friend of mine wants to play a REALLY GOOD sniper, so I have to
figure out what its skill level will be, but I still have to get used
to 4th Ed... ^^;

No more than 6. The scope's a targetting system.

Yes, they stack with aiming for longer and Determined All-Out Attack.
These are not bonusses from a targetting system, so are unaffected by
the cap.

Well, if Hit Location maneuver were still around, I'd recommend that,
for being able to shoot the Vitals without penalty. But it's not (or
at least, not yet).
Most of the other advice I have for snipers is to do with where to
hide and so on, rather than character generation stuff.

Yes. And you only get all the scope's bonus after three seconds of aim
(+1 per second until you've got all of them).

I'd say the +6 - the scope is a 'targetting system' itself.

Yes - they are seperate.

Get a high skill. Also, don't forget bracing (+1).

Get some high skill in camoflage, tracking, and stealth. Tactics might
also be good for picking a spot.

Anything else will depend on the where and when.

Savoir-Faire (Military) is useful for getting along in military and also
useful to notice all the officers... erm. targets.

I doubt it will turn up in a similar form to the 3e version - it had a
lot of problems.

don't forget the different survival skills. Running, climbing is also
very important. Very Fit is recomended. High oberservation and search
skills are also important.
