4th gen or 6th gen Intel CPU

Hi all.

I'm not good with this stuff but i'm planning to change from AMD to INTEL. I'd like to buy an i7 4790k and for the mainboard my budget is around $150 but I'm not sure which one (i'd like suggestions).

However, I don't know if i should wait for 6th gen skylake. I've heard that I have to buy new RAM DDR4 for these mainboards.

Do you have any idea how much do I have to spend for 6th gen processors, mainboard and DDR4 RAM? is it worth the wait?

These are good motherboards and reasonable prices. They are bith good overclockers too

Dont wait for something you dont no what the price is or what its performance will be. For gaming this would be AWSOME components for years. The best way to save money is to not buy anythimg waiting for the next best thing. DONT WAIT WHEN YOU COULD GAME

I would stick with the 4 gen cpu as it is a good cpu that can handle a lot of things well. Only upgrade if the cpu can't fulfil your needs.
