a bbu is not really necessary for your case unless your always have power failures or whatever reason that your electricity supply is always down. You don't really need a raid card for RAID 10, you can run it simply on onboard raid. If you really wanted a raid card, SYBA SI-PEX40057 PCI-Express 2.0 x2 Low Profile SATA III (6.0Gb/s) 4-ports RAID Card can be a good choice. You don't need a very powerful raid card to run raid 10, and if I am running raid 10, I would only grab a raid card if I don't have enough SATA ports. My choice would be a 50-75 dollar raid card, as that would get the job done. I chose this raid card because this can benefit from 6gb sata, but it's transfer rate would be limited to 6gbit/s which is maximum 6/8 which is 750mBytes per second which is not too worth it. Another choice would be the LSI MegaRAID SAS 9341-4i. This is twice as fast as the last raid card but would cost 200 US on newegg. Hope that answered your question.
