I have a Geforce 3 and its AGP. I have the BIOS running the AGP at 4x. When I go into the display properties in Windows 98se, It tells me my 64mb card has 32mb and that its running at 1x AGP. It say the AGP revision # is 2.0.... What is making my card run slower than it should be and What can I do?
I updated the BIOS and drivers for everything..yet nothing....Please help. Thanks!!!

Reinstall you graphic card driver.
Sometimes they do not install correctly the first time.

I've seen this before and it's usually been that the AGP drivers for the MOTHERBOARD have to be reinstalled.
So check to see if you have the drivers CD somewhere ,if not then you can download them from your chipset makers webstie. Ie. www.via.com.tw or www.sis.com.tw or www.intel.com .

If it's a crappy VIA chipset board, you'll need to reinstall the VIA 4-in-1 drivers, and when it ask how to install the AGP port driver, use "turbo" mode.

C'mon Crashman not all Via boards are crappy? Are they? Say it isn't so... Oh my god I'm using one right now. Might crash anytime NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hehe, follow his link!

Don't you find it strange that in both situations I guessed it was a VIA chipset quite acurately? In fact, I'm quite good at that, yet some people continue to insist it's a coincidense?
