4x gtx680 NON SLI

Hi guys,

Im having troubles with a system. After installing graphics drivers, I checked device manager and it shows that one out of the 4 gtx680's is not working. Says something about could not start due to not having enough resources. The M/B is Gigabyte x79-up4 which supports 4 way SLI, so having 4 gtx 680's shouldn't be a problem. I don't think any of the graphics card is dead either, as they work fine one by one.

Does anyone know what could be the problem??

Supporting four-way SLI usually means that it supports two dual-GPU cards, not four single GPU cards. IDK if that's your issue, but it might be.

Looking up the mobo specs, it seems that it does support four single GPU cards. Please post full system specs and we'll see about solving this issue.

Its strange. I put in 4 low end quadro cards and same problem.

Disable unnecessary I/O ports such as COM (serial) and LPT (parallel) in BIOS.

Nope still same problem... Might have to replace the M/B and see how it goes, but that's my last resort.

Any other suggestions before that?

I suppose that you could try a BIOS update. I've tried Google to see if this is a common problem, but no luck so far.

Yeah BIOS is up to date and I've tried google no luck. This is one of the uncommon systems I guess. I think its being used for multi display or something.
