4x2gb better than 2x4gb?

Hi all I'm still in research phase of building my computer. Here is my build so far:

For the memory I don't think I'll use too much. I do video editting, vmware, C#, .Net programming. I was thinking 8gb would be ideal.

Would it better if I went with 4 sticks of 2gb? Or should I go with two sticks of 4gb?

Also is corsair vengeance memory the best for the setup? For best I'm just looking at low timing and low wattage. I don't plan to overclock.

2 of 4GB (or even 1x8GB). More stable, cheaper, uses less power and leaves room for more if you want to add extra RAM later on!
For basic usage I would go for Budget RAM, http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmv8gx3m2a1333c9 or http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmv8gx3m1a1333c9. Note that the 8GB stick is a bit cheaper but the 2x4GB will run in dual channel, however I doubt you will notice a difference.
