Hello everyone, I hope that all of you are fine.So i'm getting new ram
I already have 4gb ram, and I don't know what I should do,
Should i buy : two of 4gb ram?
or : I buy only one 8gb ram?
and i'm looking for the best gaming performance and thank you all.

For gaming best would be 2x8GB.

With 2x4GB you may run into issues, when your system runs out of free ram.
With 4+8GB (or 4+4+4GB) you'd probably be fine, but this would disable dual channel memory operation. Memory performance would be lowered (compared to dual channel operation).

Thank's for replying, so should I get 4x4x4 ?
because I don't have enough money to get 2x8gb

oh that's mean I can only get 4x4
or 8x8 ? I can't get 8 with 4?

what i mean by 4x4 is i getting two ram with 4gb ram
and i have 4 slots on my motherboard

Z87-GD65 Gaming ms-7845 good board, what CPU do you have on it, and what video card do you have on it, are you looking for ram to use the system as a workstation or a gaming machine ?

workstation get 2x4GB DDR3-1333Mhz (8GB)
Gaming get 4x4gb DDR-1866Mhz (16GB)

Okay I'm sorry .. I'm just confused and I don't know much about RAM and that is what I saw by people
they use '' x '' .. sorry again

I have strange setup that's why they told me to add more RAM and they said that might help
my cpu : intel g3200
and my graphic card is : gtx 1050
and I wan't to use it for gaming only
and I know I should upgrade my cpu but I don't have money..

Okay so what I have as ram right now is that : 4GB Ram
Nb frequency: 3000ghz
type : ddr3

1. you current ram is NOT 3000 MHZ your ram speed is 666.5*2 = 1333MHZ
2. yes your board can in theory handle overclocking ram to 3000... its an old board just dont bother.
3. get DDR3-1866 Mhz Ram 2x4GB (pair dual channel) remove that ram stick you currently have from your system and sell it on eBay.

if your in the us and have issue finding them let me know Ill send you links

unfortunately i'm not in the US, so this mean my main ram that i have now is trash i have to buy new one?
