I am looking to build a gaming/editing pc and I have $5k to work with. If anyone could help me by showing me what setup you would go with that would be great. Im going with intel and would like atleast 2 if not 3 monitors. Keyboard and mouse, maybe a new headset as well. Show me what you got? It's cool to go over the 5k I'm in no rush. Thanks to all that help out!

They both chickened out and stopped at 6/8 cores how about 10 cores of goodness and 64 gb of pretty quick ram. Ill let you pick out keyboard/mouse/headset as those are 98% preference.

Chickened out???
And you get Crucial Non-Nvme ssd and hdd???
With 1080in SLI??? You know MOST GAMES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with SLI, dont you???
And a crappy psu???
With 60hz monitor for that budget???
And 64gb of ram which is way overkill???
Not to mention you didnt include the other peripherals???

You got to be kiddin me... :D

What has been listed is enough for the job...

For more cores, get this... https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fNcMnQ/intel-cpu-bx80660e52690v4
14 cores

Lol at 60 Hz comment as they're 4k monitors. And crappy PSU? Yeah those g2s from EVGA are crap lmao. The SSD comment is valid but of I was doing a 5k build I'd want to envy noone. My build does that (never had storage envy,) you went over budget by $500 figure he can easily find a good keyboard/mouse/headset for that.

2k monitors still...not 1k...better than your 1k.
I didnt notice that EVGA is G2.
What about the rest,...64gb tam??? really??? And 60hz monitor???
How about the other peripherals???

What kind of retard gets a non-nvme boot drive for that budget???

How about a 1080 vs TITAN comparison??? Even in SLI???

So you did chicken out, as you ran out of answers. Kool...

Edit...

Moral of the story...

Also I don't know why you'd go for 6950x? That processor is mainly for editing and heavy rendering while he wants to game and edit both and even a 6700k beats the 6950x in that so 6900k is the perfect match for both.
But let's now stick to the topic, the owner of the thread can decide what they like.
