Hello, I recently bought a Logitech Z506 5.1 speaker set to be paired with my Asrock B550M Pro4 motherboard.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get these into 5.1 surround audio.
I think this has to do with the problem of only 3 audio jacks being present on my motherboard.

Windows doesn't see it as a 5.1 set but only as a stereo device which isn't surprising because I probably hooked it up wrong.

Is there any way to connect 5.1 to 3 pins or should I just skip the hassle and spend 30 euros on a sound card.

I have been browsing through the internet to find a solution but nothing has really helped me.

I'm not sure what stage your at in setting up this PC so I'll start at the beginning

Install your drivers: AMD Chipset, Realtek Lan, Realtek High Definition Audio.

Next read your manual. the relevant connection info is on pgs 9&10
https://download.asrock.com/Manual/B550M Pro4.pdf

Now armed , you are ready to move on to setting up and connecting the speakers - as shown in step4 of the quick setup guide

Now that your speakers are all connected and powered on, you can move to the turning on 5.1 mode in the Realtek HD Audio manager and set the configuration to 5.1
