5.1 home theatre to pc

Hi,

I want to know if I can you a 5.1 home theatre set for my computer.

The 5.1 include 5 speakers ,1 bass and a dvd player.

The main unit is one of those players-cum-receivers : read your manual? It states there is an "aux in" so you'd connect soundcard to unit via 3.5mm-to-RCA cable?
